CARIGEST SA identifies charitable projects that effectively address the goals of the donors it advises.
The protocol for applicants
Applicant for support
Any person authorised to represent a non-profit or charitable institution may apply for support for the below purposes.
Beneficiary
Any beneficiary must be a non-profit or public benefit institution.
Content of a request for support
The application for support contains up-to-date and concise information on the relevance of the project presented, as well as the conditions for its implementation and financing.
This information is supported by clear documentation.
The application must be drafted in French (if necessary in English, German or Italian) in terms that are accessible to non-specialists and summarised, in particular using the ad hoc form available on the website.
The amount requested must be realistic and justified in the context of a precise budget, in which other sources of financing are also mentioned. The planned allocation must be specified and defined in time.
Not considered:
- Expenditures that can be subsidised by public agencies on a priority basis,
- any type of expense that cannot be justified and is not directly related to the conduct and implementation of the project,
- offsetting a loss-making operating result or a loss-making transaction already carried out.
All requests for support must be sent separately and cannot be included in the preparation of a progress report or interim statement. The same applies to any requests for reassignment.
In addition, any special arrangements desired by the applicant for clarification of the commitments of CARIGEST SA and the donors it advises must be addressed at the time of submission of a request for support (e.g. sponsorship agreements, charters, publication protocols).

In the event that the information is incomplete or erroneous, or in the event of unjustified deviations from the initial framework, the conditions under which the donation was made may be revoked by the donor, which may result in the immediate termination of the release of the donation(s) or in a request for partial or total repayment of the donation(s) made.
The Recipient agrees to account for any unspent balance so that it may be returned or reallocated, as determined by agreement with the donor.
Therefore, the beneficiary commits to using this balance within 12 months of the end of a funding period. If not, the said amount may be claimed back.
