Soutien aux projets de recherche port\u00e9s par la Fondation Octopus, bas\u00e9e \u00e0 Lausanne, dans le domaine de la biologie et de l'arch\u00e9ologie marine en M\u00e9diterran\u00e9e : \u00e9tude des phoques moines dans les \u00eeles Ioniennes en Gr\u00e8ce ; esp\u00e8ce qui a d\u00fb \u00e9voluer notamment \u00e0 cause de l\u2019impact n\u00e9gatif de la p\u00eache dans cette r\u00e9gion.
L'objectif \u00e9tait de d\u00e9velopper un nouvel outil de monitoring pour \u00eatre en mesure d'\u00e9tudier les phoques moines dans leurs grottes, souvent tr\u00e8s difficilement accessibles. Un syst\u00e8me de cam\u00e9ras autonomes et connect\u00e9es au r\u00e9seau t\u00e9l\u00e9phonique local qui permet aux biologistes de visualiser \u00e0 tous moments la situation \u00e0 l'entr\u00e9e et \u00e0 l'int\u00e9rieur de la grotte a \u00e9t\u00e9 mis en place.<\/div>

Les r\u00e9sultats sont d\u00e9j\u00e0 importants puisque plus de 17'000 photos de phoques moines ont \u00e9t\u00e9 prises en 2021 et pr\u00e8s de 9'000 photos en 2022. Ces donn\u00e9es sont en cours d\u2019analyse afin de tracer les animaux identifi\u00e9s en 2019 et 2020, un groupe qui comptait d\u00e9j\u00e0 une douzaine d'individus et plusieurs naissances.<\/strong><\/em><\/div>

Ils r\u00e9pondent aux d\u00e9fis mondiaux auxquels nous sommes confront\u00e9s, notamment ceux li\u00e9s \u00e0 la pauvret\u00e9, aux in\u00e9galit\u00e9s, au climat, \u00e0 la d\u00e9gradation de l\u2019environnement, \u00e0 la prosp\u00e9rit\u00e9, \u00e0 la paix et \u00e0 la justice.
